Toftely Construction Services (TCS) is a construction consultancy firm with a unique niche in new and existing hospital construction. Though originally founded in California in 2009, TCS relocated to Austin, Texas, in 2023. 

We’ve done it all – from small renovations to ground-up work – but our true passion lies in complex phased projects in occupied facilities. Through years of experience in different hospital settings (operating rooms, linear accelerators, MRI replacements, and morgues, to name a few), TCS has, in essence, mastered a craft that only a few know. 

Due to the nature of this work, we manage, coordinate, and collaborate with an extensive list of parties. The design team, GCs, hospital staff, and project stakeholders rely on us to understand their needs and act in their best interests. We develop phasing plans around each hospital’s schedules or negotiate and compromise with staff when needed. TCS provides designers and contractors with safety insights within the occupied hospital setting, mitigating safety risks, infection control, and noise concerns.

We view each new project through the lens of budget and schedule. From programming through bidding and contract execution, and from design through closeout, we manage the client and design relations through every stage of the project. TCS is especially skilled with schedule control and has saved its clients millions of dollars with early project finishes.

Patient care is our top priority. We manage infection control – from anticipating the safety risks during design to inspecting protective barriers. We build relationships with hospital staff to ensure their daily needs and ultimate goals are always considered. We work closely with the maintenance and EHS teams, so we understand existing protocols and improve policies where possible.
